Subject: The Poet and The Boxer

It was a sight to see as the crowd gathered round
The boxer and the poet were standing their ground
A battle of the centuries of word and of deed
The boxer and the poet would make each other bleed

Mighty boxer with his pose and ultimate size
And well spoken poet with his prose, fire in his eyes
The Boxer would duck, swing and land with a right
As Poet would speak telling of clouds that were white

The Boxer would return and strike with a hook
The poet would read from his recently written book
Yes the battle raged and the blood did start
The poet from his body and the boxer from his heart

Worn and tired the boxer would finally concede
That the poet's words were mightier than his deed
The crowd leaving, this fight now being over
As the poet stood next to boxer, hand on his shoulder.
