Subject: The Art of A Snowflake

The art of a snowflake
lies within the ability
of a single drop of water
to recreate itself
by becoming
a painter's intricate design
upon blacken canvas,
or a poet's inward desire
for perfect metaphor
and with each recreation
an artist is born.

With regret,
the flake falls and forgets
its brief dissention
of artistic grandeur
to become common
among its peers
until such time the elements
of inspiration shall gather
into one small entity
the enduring nature
of a creative heartthrob.

The snow fell heavy today.
My mind was caught
and over whelmed
that the heart of the storm
would beat so fast
and steadily upon my imagination.
So in searching for the one
that stood out among the rest,
I realized that the art
was not only in the flake,
but in the recognition.
