Where should I find eyes,
blue petals in early spring,
that glisten and reveal
the swooning of my heart?

Where should I find hope,
the soft touch of another,
in the warm caress of desire
that smells of sweet perfume?

Where should I find lips,
the tingle of light rain,
of sprinkling kisses
falling upon my neck?

Where should I find fire,
the passion of dry forest,
that inspires loveliness
to ignite a tempered soul?

Where should I find a woman,
a quiet stream in tall grass,
to lay beside while dreaming
in the shade of a blue sky?

Where should I find her,
but in a lovely afternoon,
near the fields of longing,
in the garden of my heart.
