As soon as the Door Open light goes on in my 95 Windstar, I know what's in store. The interior lights stay on, along with the "dinging" sound that you get when you try to get out of a normal vehicle after leaving the lights on. Both of these stop as soon as my van reaches 18 mph. As soon as I slow down for a traffic light or a turn, the "dinging" begins again, until I reach 18 mph again. It seems to be triggered mostly by the driver's door. So I often climb in the other side to avoid the whole scene.
I also have the following snafus: Power locks do not operate front passenger door or rear / Power window does not operate driver's door / ABS light on / Brake light on / Brake fluid leaks completely out, but mechanic can't find where it's going (no stain on driveway either)
This van's about to send my family to the loony bin.
