Subject: Heartbreak Author: kkoala [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 13:02:42 10/13/02 Sun My heart it lies broken, tortured and torn Shattered by words spoken over the phone They were so calmly spoken so matter of fact It seems our engagement was just a big act To tell me so coldly that we were through Was a very hurtful and cruel thing to do With no explanation of what I’d done Never a chance to right what was wrong All I could do was feel hurt and cry And hope in the morning I’d find it a lie Alas morning came and my torment too The words cruelly spoken were so very true She’s brushed me aside like a bit of dust To languish in sorrow for all that I’d lost I can’t lose these feelings for the girl I love I’ll just have to beat them and stay up above Just like the Phoenix from Flames the I will rise I’ll continue as always getting on with my life By making myself and other people laugh They all will think, that just maybe I'm daft ©Alan G.T.
