I suspect that the "discount" is actually no discount at all, and only accounts for the fact that at the IDF they don't have to pay for rent because... you guessed it, we do.
I think $60 an hour is an outrageous price by UK standards, but I agree not by US/ Japanese standards. Even the top coaches here, ie. former world champions, cost no more than £45 for 45 minutes, and the coaches at this festival are by no stretch of the imagination of that calibre.
That said, the workshops are good, and the event as a whole is good value, I think.
