I'll let K2 tell her story, but here are the basics:

Kelly went out for a run this morning and was heading south on Dove, crossing the PDQ parking lot. A minivan was heading north on Dove, and started straight toward Kelly. At first, K2 thought the car didn't see her, then decided they were trying to run her down, and then, with no further time to react and nowhere to go, the car hit her. She went up over the hood (it was a minivan), hit the windshield, and when the driver hit the brakes, Kelly went flying over the car and landed on the driveway on her back. Miraculously, she seems to be okay. There were multiple witnesses who helped her, and the police came, but only issued a citation to the driver for not having insurance. The car's defroster was broken, and the windows were totally fogged up. The driver never saw Kelly until she hit her. K2 ended up walking home, and except for being a little sore where the hood ornament hit her abdomen, seems to be just fine. It was very, very scary to her, and other than "freaking out" as she puts it, she is in good shape. Someone up above was definitely looking out for her today. Whew!
