Subject: In Loving Memory Of Akai (aka Kylie)

Dear God,
Today I had to end the life of my Best Friend, Companion, and Protector of my family, Akai or Kylie(Moose to those who loved him). This was done not because he was old or sick, but to make someone look good in the eyes of His bosses. This is His problem that he will have to answer to for when his time comes.
Moose loved us and trusted us to make everything ok. I failed him. I put him in a place, where after almost 3 yrs. of employment, we were told to get rid of him, even though he had been a part of our family for almost 7 yrs. We had to do this to be able to survive. I should have had more courage than to let a job(we manage a self storage/live on site) rule my life but I did not.
So into your hands I entrust the Spirit of Akai, Friend,Companion, Protector of our family. Let him be with his ancestors running free. Let him have green fields to play in and the shade of trees to rest under. Let him Forgive me for letting him down in his time of need.
When my time comes, I pray You let me find him so we can be together again.
