i'm starting to get pissed off with everyone saying we still play metallica.... we havent played a metallica song for nearly a year. apart from one or two of our songs, the rest sound nothing like metallica... its just that everyone at our school judges our performance without an open mind, and a single hint of metallica in a section of our songs leads them 2 belive that the song sounds like metallica.... a few examples:

- the lyrics arent happy and bubbly, "it sounds like metallica"
- there are solos in our songs, "it sounds like metallica".

Our last performance at school was a cover of 7 nation army, wayyy back at the beginning of 05. Yeah that was shit... i was new to singing, justin was new to drums, josh was relatively new to bass playing... since then we have done so much shit out of school, we've played in the city, parramatta, campbelltown, liverpool, ingleburn etc. we've learnt so much... and got so much experience. We've got so much to prove to you guys at the next assembly..

man dont sweat it, at our first gig we played a set consisiting of 12 songs only 3 being original, we played a whole bunch of covers, 3 of those were good charlotte, after this there are still ppl that say we are good charlotte wannabes, despite us sounding a shitload more like other bands. u guys just sounded like old 70s rock, nothing along the lines of metallica type thrashiness. mind u we were tuning up when u guys where playin, ur cover of one was awesome though, dont let people change you, once u play more. school ppl opinion becaomes less and less relevant. i rekon we r more metallicaish then u guys. despite only 2 of us havin any met knowledge at all

haha! well u think ppl think u play like metallica?
my friend from Broughton sdaid most people in her grade (yr 9) think ur a goth band!! i KNOW!! + she says everyone doesn't really like u guys becoz murthful minds or something r from their grade!! this girl btw is the one who used johann as her screen name to bag out malfcuntion on the guestbook =)
