I saw that too ... and wondered about our NDStColSci "connection" ... apparently (from the Canada team roster) Kevin has "signed" with Vincennes University (a 2 yr community college in Indiana). I can find no confirmation of this on either school's website, however Vincennes is a JC powerhouse (this yr was record 25th appearance in the National Junior College Basketball Tournament) and this is a step up -- and in Big10/11 territory ...

From NDSCS website ...

#53 Kevin Francis
6'8" Freshman Forward
Toronto, Ontario
C.W. Jefferies

Kevin averaged 21 points and 11 rebounds in his senior campaign. Kevin also represents his country in international play as a member of the Canadian Junior National team. Kevin scored 30 points in the championship game reprenting Toronto in the Star Wars Regional All-Star tournament, which is a gathering of the Greater Toronto Area's top players. His senior year he was named to six all-tournament teams.

Kevin Francis from the North Dakota State College of Science (has) been selected to the All-Region XIII Team.

Francis (Fr., Toronto, Ontario) started at forward for NDSCS. He was second on the team in scoring with 15.5 points per game through the regular season. He also averaged 5.72 rebounds per game. Francis shot 60.3 percent from the floor, including 47.2 percent from behind the three-point line.
