As per PrepWest Hoops.6'6" Mitch Henke from Hopkins high in Minnetonka Mn has committed to SCU. He was the 4th option on a team with four (including him) D-1 players, (including All American Kris Humphries, initially a Duke commit now a Golden Gopher). With the graduation of the other 3,Henke will be the feature act there. Hoopmasters describes him as an excellant athelete and a great spot up shooter. Prep West calls him a good finisher. Although he only averaged 11 points a game last year, expect more from Mr. Henke this season. He could be the wing the Broncos need.

Hopkins senior basketball player Mitch Henke has committed to Santa Clara. Henke is the fourth player from the Minnesota Magic, a summer AAU program that Flip Saunders of the Timberwolves helps coach, to commit to a Division I program. The others are Ryan Amoroso of Burnsville (Marquette) and Gophers recruits Spencer Tollackson of Chaska and Miles Webb of Park Center. Henke, an outstanding student, had a 31 on his ACT, which puts him among the top 2 percent of college seniors taking the test.[/quote]

good Get for SCU ... he could be the next great SCU TRUE Scholar/Athlete
