That was awful. Nice start then 35 minutes of anemic offense. I'm not in love-Dick-Davey mode at the moment and it's games like this that make me think that the program needs some new life and leadership.

When your team is a step slow, you're on the road, you can't shoot, you can't make free throws and you run the same damn motion offense for 40 minutes, you're going to lose. Did we have even a single fast break?!?

Player ratings, starting with the good:

Good: Howell was solid. Bailey is back and played well when he wasn't forcing shots. I thought Perkins looked very good despite 2-10 shooting. Nieson played great. Dougherty looked great for a freshman playing his 1st game. I'm not sure why we didn't see more of him.

Bad: Rohe's performance was totally amateurish at both ends of the court. He looked like a boy among men forcing up stupid shots. Just awful. Legge looked unimpressive in his 7 minute not even counting his 5 fouls. I'm less worried about him though. I've never been a huge Rohde fan and tonight did not convince me otherwise.

I didn't get much of a read on anyone else. Patrick seemed harmless. He seems like a bust compared to the way he had been hyped up at the beginning of last year, but I think injuries have had a lot to do with that.

No arguments on the starting lineup. The starters all actually played well. It was the bench that let us down with a whopping 3 points in total and lots of bad and invisible performances.

Worst of all perhaps is that Villanova lost to Chaminade so unless we improve dramatically we will lose tomorrow and then play for last place Wednesday and that game is not even on TV.

Niesan is garbage as well. For every 1 thing he does right, he makes about 4 critical mistakes.
