Re: Denison and garbage -- Bronco66, 00:02:58 12/19/03 Fri

good point ... I was refering to his BIG push -- 4:56-1:14 of the 1st half --- 8 paint points in 3:42 ... he supposedly has great hands and we (err.. the Broncos) need to get practice geting the ball to him where he obviously can do some damage (get me two pts per minute and play him say 20 minutes a game ... ok so it doesn't work just like that ... but halve it ... I'll take 19 ppg from a big guy with great hands ... say where have I heard those stats before)

yah ... he does seem to be improving from game to game ... and Perkins continues to be a real find ... and we did stay with Oregon the first half ... answered most of their attempts to pull away ...
so as "usual"??? can the Broncos put 40 minutes of BB together ???
the league will be upon us soon ....

Re: Denison & Broncos' 1st Half -- Bronco66, 12:54:09 12/19/03 Fri
went back and checked my post on the ZAGS' WCC board ...
"Denison 5 - 6 83.3% 10 pts in 10 min.
the only miss ... a 3pt attempt ... that was on the rim "
1st Half SCU 39 - UOre 44
SCU 15/30 - 50.0%
UO 16/27 - 59.3%
3pt
SCU 1/10 - 10.0% (Ethan would be a BIG help here)
UO 4/11 - 36.4%

Re: Mississippi State -- Mike, 23:17:18 12/18/03 Thu
Mississippi State never played in the Cable Car. Mississippi Valley State, from the SWAC, is the school that we played and beat in the Cable Car. Mississippi State is a completely different animal. MSU will be the best team we see in Leavey this year, aside from Gonzaga. They are a legitimate top 25 team that is big and physical. As i see it, for us to keep it close, Bailey and Rhode need to play. Ultimately, it will be our ability to make threes that determines the outcome. We have no answer for 7'0 Campbell and 6'9 Roberts on the inside so Davey is gonna have to work some of his magic.

Re: Mississippi State cf. Miss. Valley St. -- Bronco66, 23:51:42 12/18/03 Thu
thank you Mike for the clarification ....
as I get older the mind (what little remains from early years of Red Mountain, Coors & Oly abuse) tends to miss things ...
Unfortunately I must attend a college graduation party ... which tips-off at tip-off time ... (and then there is the 6 p.m. PST ZAGS vs. the Tree)
I look forward to some first hand reporting ...
Ethan should be over the virus/food poisoning and Doron has another game under his belt
