actually the way I "saw" it Denison got most of his important points in the 1st?? half ... seemed to remember the (Oregon) TV guys saying something like he's having a career day in the 1st half .... (have to check the play-by-play)

there were a LOT of badly missed passes (many inside traffic and inside) and the 3pt thing just sucked ... take those tries and make 40-50% as 2's and you've got 10+ points or more ... and the game with a different complexion

Sean is looking more assertive but will need to toughen up for League play ...

Perkins continues to play hard ... and look good especially going to the hoop ....

and finally got to see Neuburger ... if only for a minute ... and he got a nice assist (I'll take an assist a minute on offense any day) ... actually although he slipped he continued his dribble and make the play ... nice to make the box score with his dad watching (showed him on TV in the crowd) and I think Graham may have a future with the Broncos ...

Brandon continues to look off ...

and we got OUT-REBOUNDED .... there were a couple of really ugly Oregon multiple try Offensive rebounds in the 2nd half ...

well time now to regroup ... and Miss St. is loaded this year (and probably remembers their last trip to the Cable Car)

Thanks '66; the reason I opined re: 'garbage points' was I checked the 'game flow' @ ESPN.com and Denison scored 6 points in the last few minutes. In one of the reports on the Oregon thumping, DD actually saw silver lining around the dark clouds; I wonder if he was referring to Denison's play (although I only saw one rebound in the box score)? Glad that he is producing ahead of schedule. As for Henke (and Angley), they are apparently signed. The SID just hasn't put a release out yet.BTW,Angley has missed Enterprise High's first six games with the injured hamstring.

good point ... I was refering to his BIG push -- 4:56-1:14 of the 1st half --- 8 paint points in 3:42 ... he supposedly has great hands and we (err.. the Broncos) need to get practice geting the ball to him where he obviously can do some damage (get me two pts per minute and play him say 20 minutes a game ... ok so it doesn't work just like that ... but halve it ... I'll take 19 ppg from a big guy with great hands ... say where have I heard those stats before)

yah ... he does seem to be improving from game to game ... and Perkins continues to be a real find ... and we did stay with Oregon the first half ... answered most of their attempts to pull away ...

so as "usual"??? can the Broncos put 40 minutes of BB together ???

the league will be upon us soon ....

went back and checked my post on the ZAGS' WCC board ...
"Denison 5 - 6 83.3% 10 pts in 10 min.
the only miss ... a 3pt attempt ... that was on the rim "

1st Half SCU 39 - UOre 44

SCU 15/30 - 50.0%
UO 16/27 - 59.3%

3pt
SCU 1/10 - 10.0% (Ethan would be a BIG help here)
UO 4/11 - 36.4%

Mississippi State never played in the Cable Car. Mississippi Valley State, from the SWAC, is the school that we played and beat in the Cable Car. Mississippi State is a completely different animal. MSU will be the best team we see in Leavey this year, aside from Gonzaga. They are a legitimate top 25 team that is big and physical. As i see it, for us to keep it close, Bailey and Rhode need to play. Ultimately, it will be our ability to make threes that determines the outcome. We have no answer for 7'0 Campbell and 6'9 Roberts on the inside so Davey is gonna have to work some of his magic.

thank you Mike for the clarification ....

as I get older the mind (what little remains from early years of Red Mountain, Coors & Oly abuse) tends to miss things ...

Unfortunately I must attend a college graduation party ... which tips-off at tip-off time ... (and then there is the 6 p.m. PST ZAGS vs. the Tree)

I look forward to some first hand reporting ...

Ethan should be over the virus/food poisoning and Doron has another game under his belt
