he has the paint gelding on a halter and lead rope. he chooses to walk him along the woodland trail and heads off that way. along the way, he talks softly to Jack and pats him. when they make a circle and are back to where they started, Quinten has an itch to jump up on Jack and ride. he looks at the gelding. would he let him?
