My point is that allowing only "fair" stages to be used as counterpicks caters to characters who happen to do well on those stages. What you're telling me through example is that basically you can only make use of counterpicking if you're falco or marth. Of course you and I know that isn't true, but it's the flaw behind your point.

Peach has no true "peach" stages among those listed, so how is she to counterpick? Jiggly has no truly bad stages lined up (such as flat zone or any number of no-edged low-cieling stages, so how is one to counterpick her?

Are you saying you think counterpicking among only those stages is acceptable? I disagree, but I'll wait to see what you think.
