Subject: White Dobermans

Hi, Traci

I am very interested in white Dobermans. Are they any different in respect to health? I have had a blk & tan and I love the breed. I have basenjis but I would like a breed that can be trained more easily. We show, lure course and occasionally breed the basenjis. I'm under the assumption that whites cannot be shown; at least I've never seen any in the show ring. Is the color recognized by AKC? A friend had a blue doberman years ago and I was under the impression that blues are not desirable because this one had skin problems and his coat was very, very thin (you could see his skin) and it was very course like a Brillo pad. Do you know if there are any white breeders around Indianapolis area? I would love to see one. What state do you live in?

Thanks, Pam
