Miranda,
In response to your post:

Miranda,
I believe I'm familiar with that case. I'm always releived when AC (animal control) takes care of situations involving abuse and neglect. No dog (any breed or color) should have to live without the minimal requirements provided by law. I'm glad you chose to keep your dog regardless of what was being posted on the internet about that breeder.

Well, regardless of whether the person in charge is against white Dobermans, the case should be pursued if animals are being mistreated. There may be white Doberman people who are also helping to get the breeder shut down. :)
The dogs come before politics.

It's probably not the person they don't like, but rather the choices he/she made. If your dog is a good pet and member of your family, then don't let the gossip bother you. Just my 2 cents.
Also, for people who might be looking for a Doberman, it's probably best if the breeder you consider is only involved in one breed; not a breeder of multiple breeds. This way, all their attention is focused on what's really important, 'your future Doberman'.

Thank you for sharing your story Miranda. There's an e-mail list/org that fights the operation of puppymills. I encourage readers to join, and support the effort.

Cheers,
~Dawn
