Last weekend, we wrapped A Dickens Christmas at Hammond Castle. Despite really horrible (but authentically British) weather Saturday, lots of people came out to join the fun, and Sunday was even more packed. Thanks to everyone who visited!

And with that, the 2002 Pastimes season came to an end. Man, what a year this was for us. Between February and December, Pastimes put on six major events (Winterfest at Belcourt, King Arthur and Robin Hood at Hammond, Three Musketeers at Belcourt, and Castle of the Damned and Dickens Christmas at Hammond). No wonder we're all insane and exhausted...

And it all starts again next month! Starting in January, our fight poobahs Cliff and Rob will be running a series of special stage combat seminars for the Pastimes regulars to prepare them for the 2003 season. You thought the fights this year rocked, wait until you see next year's!

Dave is also planning to hold a round of auditions this spring I believe, and will conduct a workshop on interactive theater (good for newbies and old vets like me who wouldn't suffer from a refresher course).

In short, the staff of Pastimes is already hard at work to make 2003 even better than 2002...which is really saying something because, remember, this year we can claim that we boasted a greater attendance at 3M on Labor Day than KRF! Granted, it was because KRF closed for a rain day, but still...

Anyway, we look forward to seeing everyone at the various events next year. As always, I'll let everyone know what's going on through the message boards, and this spring Pastimes will be launching a quarterly newsletter...it'll be available in both via e-mail (as a PDF file) and hard copy, so if anyone wants to sign up, please feel free to e-mail me (put "Newsletter inquiry" in the subject line so I know it's not spam).

Mike, Pastimes PR muckety-muck
