I've been to Universal Studios in Florida a number of times in the past, my favourite bit being the Gruesome & Grotesque Horror Make-Up Show. They did have two telepods here (just like the ones on the film or the exact same ones?) which were part of the show, but when I went to Florida last month the show had changed a bit & the telepods had gone - I was dissappointed!

Anybody know where they have gone and why/when it happened? Also, anyone know what happened to the telepods from the film?

In a documentary on disc two of the sequel it is explained that telepod one was destroyed for the movie. Telepod two was given to the set designer (I believe) and he had it in his back yard for years until it finally fell apart and the third one was scrapped for parts. Then when the sequel was announced they had to rebuild two of them. These were probably the ones you saw at Universal...it is said that they were both destroyed.
