Depends on your level. He has anywhere from 10000-12500 HP roughly, and his Chaos Shield has an additional 1000-1500 HP. It's best to fight him at above level 60, it's a lot easier then. That's not as bad as the final boss in Lunar 2: Eternal Blue who had around 50000(!) HP total.
