My Tribute to Fiona Hutchison

Fiona, back in 1987 you created this amazing, multi-faceted, complex, passionate, emotional, smart, fun character Gabrielle Medina. Immediately we were taken on roller coaster rides with your portrayal of this great character. You managed to push the audiences buttons in so many ways. We'd pull for Gabrielle, we'd get so angry at Gabrielle, we'd cry with Gabrielle, we'd yell at Gabrielle. But no matter what, there was always something about Gabrielle that made us sit back and think, yes this is wrong and Gabrielle shouldn't be doing this, but I "understand" why she is. When that happens, you can credit the actress for that because it takes a brilliant actress to bring in all these emotions and conflicts to the audience and that you did. No matter what, the fans still loved you. The fans clamored and clamored for your return one day and finally our pleas were answered. We had you back and we were so happy. And once again, you never disappointed in your portrayal of the beloved Gabrielle Medina. You managed to take her from scheming, manipulative to thougtful and caring and you were now a beloved heroine and as SOD said, "That is not an easy task for an actress to do" But you did it and Gabrielle is one of the most beloved characters of all time. She is in our hearts. We absolutley love this Argentinian with the British accent and when you're on screen we know that we are going to see some quality stuff. We just KNOW that about you. When you're on, it's quality airtime. You truly are one of the best actresses in daytime television and this is TRULY OLTL's loss. To quote a little cutie, "What is their problem?" :) I wish I knew. But,someone else is going to be very, very lucky when they snatch you up. Unfortunately we have to wait until your contract with ABC is up which stinks but when that time is up, I can't wait to see where you'll go next. Whereever that may be, we wish you luck Fiona Hutchison. But you don't need it. You'll positively shine with whatever you do.

Fiona Hutchison, you go on with your bad self! :)

This is a fabulous tribute Beth! I agree with everything you said and every word of it is true! Fiona will be greatly missed by all her fans! I have one question though, why does she have to wait until her contract is up in April if she's not even working on the show? By the way, did you send this to her?

Thank you, Beth, for posting this here:) It's all so true! I can't believe she is gone:( BUT she WILL return to us!! Not as a ghost, not as a twin, but as Gabrielle Medina, style editor of the BANNER!!!

Remember this quote from Jenna to Buzz:

"Neither time nor ocean could keep us apart. Soon, all of this will be over with and I'll be back in your arms forever. Until then, I want you to remember that I love you, Buzz Cooper. You are the light of my life now and forever!" :):):)

I just happen to agree with you :) In a few months, when this campaign still has not lost it's force yet, they're going to realize that "Oh sha, we made a mistake!" As long as no one gives up and tries to get her on GL. We can't give up now, it's ridiculous now that we've come this far.

Hi Ashley and thank you! She is under contract until April and so ABC still "owns" her right now which means she can't go anywhere until that time is up. But they still have to pay her of course because she's still under contract. Come April though hopefully we'll have our Gabrielle back on our screens because our campaign to bring her back worked. We're not giving up guys. Things CAN change.
