Bo returns home to Gabrielle and tells her that she is the new style editor at the Banner, and still his roommate. Ecstatic she hugs and kisses, and then kisses Bo. Gabrielle and Bo break apart, each apologizing for the kiss. Flustered, Gabrielle grabs the newspaper and heads out the door, unaware that Asa is getting ready to knock. She rushes out, and Asa wants an explanation. He knows something's up. Bo tells him to knock it off; if he can't, he should stop coming by. Asa just wants to protect his son, but Bo says he has to make his own choices. Gabrielle is a friend; they share a home and a few laughs. Asa wonders exactly whom he's trying to convince of that. He agrees not to interfere, and since Bo is unattached, Asa wants to set him up with a terrific woman he met.

Asa interrupts a turning point for Gabrielle and Bo, and Asa surprises Bo when he waves the white flag. Asa reveals that he has made special arrangements for Bo, and Bo buries his feelings for Gabrielle.
