Hopefully the lights weren’t florescent. Florescent was dangerous to her too. She made her way into the room, looking around for someone any one. Maybe if she asked nice enough they give her a dark enough room, where once again the day could hold her captive. She was trapped in darkness, daylight being her number one enemy she could never see it though she wished she could just get one glimpse at it.* . Name: Ahalya Nickname: Aha Age:8 Gender: female Species: Human Appearance: her eyes are a crystal blue, they always appear to be alert. Her hair is blond but has dark streaks in it from lack of getting any sunlight. She is always wearing lots of layers of cloths. Her skin is fair and untouched by the sun. Personality: Carefree despite her disease She doesn’t mind leaving at night though she finds it lonely. Past: as a baby she was diagnosed with Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP) A rare genetic defect in ultraviolet radiation induced DNA repair mechanisms; characterized by severe sensitivity to all sources of UV radiation (especially sunlight). Ever since then she has been forced to live inside. Her mother died when she was only one and her father took off leaving her in foster care. Raising her was hard, she was abandoned by her foster parents. Extra: She doesn’t know what the sun looks like, having never been aloud to see it. When she does go out, she has to cover up completely, with long sleeves and pants, and cover the rest with sunscreen. She has to wear sunglasses because XP hers eyes are sensitive. XP can result in blindness and deafness she uses the sunglasses to keep out bright lights, but her vision seems to be faltering anyway.
