I'm not 100% convinced by Mahmood, though I'm sure he is a good player. I just feel that with a bulk of Harmy, Jones, Fred, Hoggy, Tremlett, Plunk, etc we don't need to be overly concerned about seeing what others are like. With the injuries England have the aim should be just to beat Sri Lanka and get back into a good run of results. I'd plum for Lewis in this regard.
More importantly would you bother playing a spinner? They will but that means sod all really!
