Subject: A vision for Bliss

When Bliss and I first came to these lands we, like many of you, saw a great opportunity. The lands were empty, there were no established enemies or friendships, history had yet to be written. In essence, Lake Austin was a blank page. While we sat and made our first fortune here to place housing we talked about what we wanted to do here. What, if anything, did we want to accomplish. As the money started pouring in and the structures started going up we saw the first shape of a City forming. We decided we would devote our attention to that and try and inspire the City of Bliss to come into being.

Well friends, a City is much more than just a few buildings lumped together. As a matter of fact, territory is probably the least important part of what the City of Bliss should be about. The City is people linked together in a spirit of community. We have many citizens on our City Stone. What is it that drives them, what is it that bonds us together? That's what I'd like to discuss here.

Bliss and I have a very specific vision for what we would like the City to become and to accomplish. We want to create a place for people to gather and meet for fun and also for mutual benefit. We want to sponsor and participate in Player run events. We want to help people accomplish their goals and establish themselves in a place in the shard community. We would of course also like to establish a place for ourselves in this shard wide community.

When people come to us and ask to join I want them to know that our primary mission is to be helpful and respectful to those around them. Think of that selfless person in your past who sat there healing you while you trained, that generous person who gave you your first 2k at the bank to help with your training, that person who could have looted your body when you died in a dungeon but instead stood watch over your corpse and helped you retrieve your belongings and sent you to safety. We have all had people like this in our past...I want us all to become that person for others in the future. The spirit of our City should be the promotion of kindness and generosity.

I want to personally thank each of you for coming to us and helping us to form the beginnings of our great City. Thank you for representing us in the lands of Britannia in a way that will earn honor for you and our City. Finally, thank you for sharing our vision and know that your time and efforts will be rewarded in ways uncountable. I imagine great things to come for the City of Bliss and her citizens. This is an exciting time, let's make the best of our formative years!
