Hi Everybody and happy New Year to all!
To me, the Super Bowl will take place Sunday afternoon when the Ravens and the Titans collide. This is going to be a classic, and the way the Ravens played against Denver, I'm not so sure the Titans will repeat as AFC Champs. I thought, three weeks ago, that Oakland was Super Bowl bound, but now I believe strongy the winner of the Titans-Ravens duel will win it all. Let's pick the Ravens, with a late field goal to win 16-14.
As far as Oakland is concerned, they shouldn't have any problem handling the Dolphins. I don't think they will beat them as easily as the Jaguars did last year, but the Raiders will win easily and cover the spread, which is 9 points, I believe. Raiders 28 Dolphins 17.
In the NFC, even though the Eagles lost twice to the Giants this year, they should give them a good match. I wonder, however, about their ground attack. The Giants will win 21-17.
New Orleans-Minnesota is a tough one to pick, because the Saints looked bad in the third quarter last saturday while the Vikings looked even worse, ever since their Monday night win in St. Louis. If defense wins football games, then the Saints will surprise the Vikings, 27-24. But no way the Vikings will cover the spread.
