I went back over to Russ' last night to lay down more guitar tracks. Russ is really amazing. Has a great ear. He had me lay down approximately 6 rhythm tracks for "Come Spirit" and each track had a slightly different sound to it. Put them all together and it's the fattest guitar sound I've ever had on any recording I've done in the past. It's pretty amazing to hear him isolate the tracks and then start adding them one by one. When they're all going at once, it's pretty much a wall of guitar sound. I'm very pleased with what we accomplished last night. In Russ' words "You guys are going to have a bad little demo when we're done." What a super guy he is. He shared some good stories last night.

He also had me lay down somewhere around 5 tracks for "You Lie In Wait" and again - another fat guitar sound. I'm looking forward to seeing what the guys think, but I think everyone is going to be pleased.

I only laid down one lead last night - for YLIW - and managed to get a good take on that one. Even Jessie, Russ' cat, seemed to be enjoying everything last night. She got picked up and pet between takes (by me, of course) and didn't seem to mind all the noise.

I'm going to go back to Russ' on Thursday evening to finish up the guitar tracks. He's thinking we can have everything sewn up guitar wise by the end of that night.

Things are coming along nicely. Russ has a killer vocal mic that should enable us to get a really good vocal sound too.

That's all for now. See ya!
