Subject: Jeff Hall "Classless"

In follow-up to a previous message, I would like to mention that not only will Rose Hill return to the basics which is providing a quality Christian Education, it will do so without Jeff Hall.

Jeff throuhout his high school playing days, college playing days and his business career has always been about Jeff Hall. As a teacher and coach he was given the responsibility to help develop quality people by teaching them life skills through athletics. Instead he used it as a glamour position to bring again the spotlight to himself.

As soon as his "recruits" left home base and he realized there would be no hope to compete, he left. Why was this position no longer appealing to him? He wouldn't be in the spotlight and he realized teaching and motivating young adults was not appealing to him unless he could get all the glory or have media attention that would center around "his" program.

Hopefully, the kids left at Rose Hill will get the opportunity to play for a coach with class, someone who will put their needs and desires above his own. They deserve this. Also, I hope these kids excel in the 64th District and 16th Region. I couldn't do this previously. Not because of O.J. Mayo and the recruits, but because of the lack of compassion Coach Hall had for his players/students.

It is my hope, one day Jeff Hall will do something for someone other than himself. That he will truly give back to the community in which he lives as opposed to cherry picking the situations he lets himself get involved.

There is so much more to life than winning and losing. It is about the journey we have each day. The decisions which will impact our lives as well as others. It is treating people with class and dignity and helping all we come in contact with.

Teachers and coaches have one of the more important positions anywhere in our communities. Jeff Hall is a poor example and a bad representative of these two professions. Not because he isn't a good coach, but because he seems to care so much about winning athletic competitions and cares so little about our greatest asset, the future of the kids he coaches.

I wish everyone in the Rose Hill program well. I hope O.J. Mayo does become the next LeBron James. But most of all I hope Jeff Hall will realize life is a lot bigger than JEFF HALL.
