I also admit to having Mrs. Rule for 8th grade english and I have to agree with everything you said. I can also remember being singled-out,drawn and quartered and personally humilated when I mispronounced the word "extraordinary" (as "extra" "ordinary") in her classroom. To this day, whenever I hear the word extraordinary spoken, correctly or incorrectly, I recall that dreadful day in 8th grade english! haha Only the Jayne sisters came close to the fear I had for Mrs. Rule. And I have to say I respect the Jayne sisters to the utmost.

Wasn't her first name "Bonnie"? I am not sure, but that sounds familiar.

Being a son of a high school teacher (Juanita Rogers - Home Ec.) at Blazer, I have grown to appreciate the teaching style and discipline of Mrs. Rule. In today's education, I am afraid she wouldn't be tolerated and that is sad.

Thanks for your post. It sure brought back a lot of memories.
