The flames shoot into the sky, forming a towering wall of flames. The wind picks up, not only carrying sparks of fire, but doing it at two hundred miles an hour. Huricane winds begin to twist into a spiral as they close in on Death. Roaring winds block out the sound of anything else as the force of nature rises to fight the other.

Oh, do calm down. No reason to get so touchy.

The crimson mares tassels flew madly around her dark nape, though her slender frame seemed rather bored with it all. Wind and fire, she had seen it all. The falmes and wind did not scare her.

She could conjure up her own monsters. A wall of water fell upon the wall of hovering falme, soaking it to the core, drenching it out of its pathetic life. Shadow-demons began to hover around her as though protecting her from a coming onslaught. Death's gaze grew colder; her breath coming out in streams of heat in fron of her. Her eyes began to glow a ghostly pupiless white, though shadows by something else.

One thing came to her mind. Bring it on.

From the corpse of the flame rises a thick smoke, threatening to cut off the mare's Oxygen. Just as the toxic mist touches her nares the sky transforms into a floating river of blood, dragon blood. Before the first crimson drop hits, it can be seen that like dragon blood...it seared through flesh with the eliment of fire. A torent of wind rises within the storm, fusing together fire and water in a deadly storm of rivaled powers. Finally, the drops of embers land on the demons and their mage as the smoke enters her lungs. There was a reason why they always say smoking kills. Should she wish to remain standing, she should find the way to snuff out the flame long enough to see what was behind it.

Ah, Hell's Fires. She had touched it, and survived; but Dragon's Blood. She had never tried that. But, instead of tasting the succulent liquid that seethed before her she merely smelt it. The smell it gave of was intoxicating. Wonderful. She betted it tasted wonderful.

Oh, her poor demons. The poor dears had protected her, how sweet. And that snoke. How disgusting. She breathed normal, as the rush of the smoke filled her vains and blood. Oh, yes it could kill, but how do you know that she id not already dead? Well, might as well calm the flame and kill the smoke again. As her crimson head turns towards the flames, water drops from the sky as though sent for a purpose. It snuffed the flames once again, and scattered the smoke into the raging winds. Death's bloody librums opened and the water entered her system, quellin the smoke that raged in there.

No only to find out who is behind the flame.

Death's steps drew nearer the mage that conjured Hell's heat, her steps measured and quiet. Blood dripped from her obsiden pinions. Throwing her crimson tassels into the smoky wind, she stands tall. Oh, this was fun.

I'll ask one last time. Dare you tempt Death?

Ah yes, that's one thing they agreed on, this was quite fun. Another test however that the mare hadn't counted on was the rest of the force the storm had. The smoke rises darker and stronger, for each time the flame died, the toxic gas returned ten times as strong. And even if the she-demon was dead, the smell along would be enough to raise her from her grave. Lightning crashes in the stormy sky and spears the heart of the cloud of smoke. From the wound, a great wave of acid pours out in the form of a dragon's head before crashing down toward it's opponent.

It was not over, nay, it had only yet begun. It would take more than an immortal creaturess to get past the barriers of the Flame's power. Although the fireworks are at an intermission at the time, there were more acts to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

Ok, so dousing the flames wouldn't work; so how about a plan B. The smoke was to thick, as Death was having a hard time standing in it. If only she could get towards the other. Ah, yes. Suddenly an invisible wall formed around her, allowing nothing to get in and nothing to get out. Death simple doused the remaning smoke and stepped forward. The Earth under her trembled as she stepped towards the Flame's Master. If only she could unvail it.

Yes, but your act can only work on an audience.

((Ooh, I like that one. That's tricky. *grin.* How to stop you now...))

As if realizing none of it's tricks were working on the female, the flames flicker and fall again, slowly the smoke depletes as the female advances, untill it's light enough to see what's going on. What you find, however, is not the mage behind the power storm...but a rapidly growing thorny bush. It strikes out like a snake at the mare, hissing and retreating as it can't break through to finish her off. It arches like an aiming snake for a few seconds, then strikes again, only this time wrapping around the mare's invisible box and squezing as hard as it could to strangle the equine out of her box. Come out and play...

[This is fun! That was a good one too! *evil grin*]

Oh, trying to sqeeze her out of her box now are you?

Well, that can't happen. Sorry to bust your bubble.

Death winced a bit as her wall began to squeeze the life out of her body. Dammit, this shouldn't be happpening. Oh, her is an idea. Ok, Operation Snake-thing in effect. Soon, next to the snake-bush-thing appeared, Death conjured her own creature.

A shadow figure from Hell.

Ah, yes her lovly creation. Flames coarsed through its body, and it was visible as it was a shadow. Stealthily, it creeped around the bush and began to sqeeze it itself, and throwing flames at it while it did son. Why, wouldn't that hurt Death more? No, no you see. The creature cannot hurt the master. Though it can hurt the figure it cannot hurt its creator. So, while the thirn-snake is busy with getting her creature of it, she simply would escape back towards the ground. The wall fell and she quickly escaped the grasp, her ebony wings allowing her to soar high above the creatures head and dive swiftly to the ground.

"Oh believe me, I will..."

((Hmm...I can't say I saw that one coming...*evil laugh* I hope I can do the same...))

The snaky vine shrieks in agony and withers into a thin line of ash. At the sight of the retreating female, however, a new plant springs to life in front of the mare, a line of thick trees that form a sort of vine prison around her to block any further escape. Seconds later...every girl's biggest enemy explodes from the trees. Hundreds of thousands of bugs, ranging from roaches to tarantulas to bumblebees. The swarm closes in on the mare, each bug eager to taste the skin below her fur.

[I definietly didn't see that one coming. My turn!]

Almost every girls nightmare. Unfortunatly, this girl actually likes the little buggers. But, as for this wall of vines. Death had to get rid of this.

Her shadow deamon blocked the vine cage from the bugs, swatting at them and killing them. Though it was greatly outnumbered. But as for Death. The vines began skining into her flesh, causing flesh wounds to bleed heavily. Soon, a flame box appears around her, the only way to get ride of wooded things. And, oh, bugs!

This time though, the flame box stood out around the demoness, killing the vines as hey touched her. A transparent wall allowed her too see outside, and look upon her creation.

Oh, the poor dear needs help.

Soon more accompyened the other, and began fighting the bugs, driving them away with flames and water. Death laughed aloud, as her eyes began to glow red with a fresh desire.

"Ready to give up?"

((I hoped so! I hate bugs...guess you've got a tuff little girl eh? Oh! And have you figured out my dirty little secret? If you have...it will help you greatly in this challenge...))

One more trick was yet to be preformed, and from careful observation, there was certenty it would not fail. Ice flies at the shadow demons and at the mare, penitrating the flames and hiting the clear barrier. Lighting flashes from somewhere beyond the trees and shatters the now frozen box to reach the prize inside. Lastly, a rainbow of powers fly at her from all sides. Acid from above, Ice from blow, Lightning from the left and right, snakey vines from the front and a flying rock from the rear.

Could she escape this trap? We shall see...

[Yes, my tought little mare *pats Death* Oh! I liked that! Seems you have the power of Elements!]

Oh, great...How was she going to escape this one?

Ah, here was an idea. Suddenly, the box died and the flames and in its place stood a simple whisp of smoke. Not even Death stood there. The master had fled? No, no, no. Simply...disappeared. The whisp of smoke twirled in and out of the powers being hit by none, for they went right through her, and clashed into each other. Now, how could that be? The smoke traveled towards the Master of the powers and formed back into the outline of Death once again. The first thing you saw were the demoness' crimson eyes, as her obsidien pinions stamped at the ground under her.

"How fun..."

((Not in the way you'd expect...but good call on the escape tactic!))

Death finds herself before a huge stone Unicorn with gleeming rubies for eyes. It's horn is made of a rare and valuble compound worth far more than a unicorn could hope to ever use up, this horn was the horn of a dragon of the elder breed. The stone statue stares straight ahead, neither looking at or past the mare. Disapointment, his creature was of stone where-as you thought it of flesh. Were you fighting a mage, or fighting nature herself...or something else?

As if to echo the confusing scene, smoke rolls in...only this time, it apears a unicorn that aproches, slightly above the ground. Behind the first, comes a second unicorn, this of flame. Following them is one of wind, one of ice, one of bug-like apearence, and one of snakey vines. The smokey mare tosses her mane as she comes to a hault...her gaze cold and mute of all emotions, even as her eyes were all that told you she was of smoke and the smoke was not in a unicorn like form.

The Ice Unicorn crushes a small rock beneath his foot, almost face-less as the Ice keept melting and refreezing. Behind him, a line of ice can be seen where he had stepped.

You'd outdone yourself this time, a mistake you might regret should you not discover the secret now.

"One of us is real as day, the other secluded by night,
the rest of us are forged from air, not the flesh of might.
Discover who and what and where and find the truth you deem
Worthy for thy eyes and ears to truly be the one for thee.
Fire winds begin to stir far and wide and forced,
Ice skates across a path of his very own unduing,
Bugs scatter and flee no matter what the way it be,
Wind can never be as us or any other way,
Flowers never lift their roots or take a host at will,
Smoke has no eyes with which to view the world,
The master of us few remains:
A bit beyond your world."

[This is hard! *grits teeth*]

Oh, this was gunna be interesting. Was it possible for her to take five? Or perhaps by a vowle? Oh, wrong game.

Death repeated the riddle over and over again, as though hoping to find some hidden meaning that would pop out and say 'Oh! Over here!'. She had no such luck.

"Well, One of you is real as day. That could be Fire, or Bug, or Flowers, or even Wind. You always see them. One of you is seculded at night. That could be Smoke. The rest are forged from air. Isn't Fire created heavier when mixed with the Wind. And doesn't Ice melt from Fire and Wind. And smoke too can be created by wind; dragged along. Flowers really can't be forged from wind, and niether can Bugs."

Talking to herself. A new habit. Her crimson eyes were deep in concentration, and he ebon tassels flew madly around her bloody nape. Luckily, she hadn't gotten that beaten up byt the vine-box-thing. But, lets hope Death doesn't die now.

"Am I on the right track? Or can I take another hint?"

Death asked wearily, staring into what seemed like the Master of them all, the Stone Unicorn with the ruby eyes.

[Oh! Cool! Riddles are fun.....if I know the answer]

Ok, this she could work with.

"Fire, Ice, Bug, and Flowers can grow. Smoke can grow if fueled, it really just drags. Wind can grow also if a storm is brewing, par say. Does that mean that none are really made of flesh? Everything can grow, can they not, if they are fueled with the right things."

Ah, very confusing for poor little Death. Not very logically was she. She would work on that.

((Yep. Good call.))
All shifters fade, the scene changes and you find yourself staring into the eyes of not a stone statue, but a unicorn who's horn apear to have snapped. Behind her are a number of others, the last to aproch being another unicorn of smoke. As the smokey unicorn aproches, her horn turns tthe color of a hot fire poker and her body becomes the like of smokey violet over ebony fur. Now in a mortal form, she turns emerald eyes to the one with a broken horn, ignoring the blood falling from her own neck.

"Well done." Says the unicorn with the broken shaft. "I see you've managed to give my children quite a hard time."

The smokey mare nods her head, a mute expression on her face.

[Wow! *claps hands* Go me!]

Did I hear corectly? Or am I going deaf? That or I'm seeing hallousinations also. So, Death just stared stupidly around as the unicorns vanished and a broken horned one appeared. Her crimson eyes washed over each of the ones in front of her.

"Yes, but they gave me hell also."

Death's cranium bobbed and turned, 'pointing' to the scraps on her nape and body. Crimson blood flowed profoundly from them, but she didn't care. A malicious smirk crossed her visage once again, and she decided to ask this last question.

"Care to explain? Cause I'm still confused."

Death inherited very bad logical sense from her master. And sometimes it showed. Like now. Death went for impulses, and was actually quite tired from the fight, making her even more prone to always ask 'What?'

[No worries. You really couldn't say much. Lol]

"Why?"

Why did a simple question have to always be so difficult to answer. And why do people always ask that question? 'Why!? Why?!' Always everyone asked it. Well, what other words were there to say?

Death shook her head, but her radars had caught the sound of Pirate. She needed to talk to her. A curt nod was given to the other.

"Sorry for the rude leaving, but I must go. Perhaps we will talk again later."

And with the blink of an eye the demoness was gone and erased from your mind.
