Actually, she got lucky, someone liked her voice and told someone about her and despite his mood, he decided to hear her and he liked her...thats about all how the story goes unless you wanna throw in the part about her being turned down alot by other recording companies, Arista got lucky, they've kinda been draggin since they started, even though they had an awesome artist like Taylor Dayne with them who actually had talent and an awesome voice. Alot of Avril Lavigne is processed, I've been recorded by my father who has done sound and recording for various artists in the 70's and a little into the 80's and he told me what goes into it and it ain't just her voice purely--in my opinion, she is a studio singer, if it weren't for "Studio Magic" she wouldn't sound that great when I hear her live on T.V. or anything she sounds screechy and she strains her voice, she might be better if she relaxes and doesn't push so much, but she is overrated. She's doing what she wanted to do because the LORD saw fit for her to do it, He knows His will and this might be a test for all of you as well, He uses everyone for a purpose and He has His for her and maybe it's a lesson for her--but she seriously needs to cool it before someone knocks her lights out, the same for Natalie Maines (SP?) of the Dixie Chicks, she opens her mouth way too much...
