Thanks for the photo Randall, that should help. According to this thread: http://www.voy.com/119861/4/1980.html the keys are $10 a piece but we'll deal with that when and if I manage to get a hold of them. I haven't gotten any response yet to my email to Hori locks. ...of course, my email was in english and that could have had something to do with it.

I'm not giving up yet though. My brother has some friends in Tokyo who speak japanese so I'm going to see if I can get him to help me out. I'll keep you posted.

[> [> [> Contacting Hori Locks. -- Bruce, - Monday - 02/ 8/10 - 4:27pm

Hello Jared,
I recieved the following email from Hori Locks (T.Matsuzawa). This email also has direct contact information FYI. I actually talked to someone on the telephone from Hori Locks back then (couple of years ago) Good luck:

Dear Mr. Allen:

Thank you for attaching images with your e-mail. Before receiving your lock order and issuing a price quote, we need to have you check the following:

1. What is the thickness of your, presumably wooden, door?
2. Would you need a “Thumb-turn” (Turn-piece to operate the deadbolt) inside?
3. Keys included with your lockset will be cut to a new number (will not be keyed-alike to match other cylinders).
4. Three keys will be included with your lockset. Would you need additional spare keys for this lockset?

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Best regards,
T. Matsuzawa
