Subject: My 31 foot Mariner

I am the new owner of a 1970 31 foot Mariner, love at 1st site.
I am in search of what number my boat is? I have read all the Forum letters and the numbers don't match what I have. My number is "NO.643056-NET8".
I am hungry to find out more about My Mariner with her new name as "Come to Me". any help in decifering the number and find out more about her

Hello Skip,

1st let me say congratulations on your new ownership and welcome aboard.

I think the number you have found relates to the documentation of the vessel as they are a 6 digit number and show the tonnage and are suppose to be permanently attached.
Is the vessel documented?
On my M31, built in 1969 and brought to the U.S. in 1970, the production number is carved on the forward side of the main mast support beam directly below the main mast down below.
I know other people have found numbers on the bottom of drawers and underside of cabinets and other out of the way places.
If she is documented you may be able to trace her past.

My boat number is carved into the side of the main mast support beam. It is visible from inside the vee-birth looking forward. It says "M31#95", specifically.
