Subject: Cutlass bearing removal

We got the M31 hull155 with the M32 nose. Anyway our prop shaft crumbled to pieces and removed easily in three pieces. I want to replace the cutlass bearing as it's the right moment to do. Does anyone know where the set screw typically is located. I didn't sand through the gelcoat layer yet. Port side or starboard side and how far in front of the end of the bearing. Our original prop shaft was made from some kind of bronze alloy. It had 45 degree stress fracture on it. Thx for any suggestions. We're hoping to sail next season. We also are replacing a chunk of deck on the port side...... Best wishes Jelle
