Subject: 1/4 packing sounds more likely
In reply to: James (m-31" Pyxis") 's message, "gfu packing" on - Thursday - 09/10/09 - 12:43am

I picked up the 3/16 packing last night and thought, "hmm that looks awfully small". I'll probably have to take it back and exchange it. I figured the specifications they gave might be for a different stuffing box. Oh well.

I do plan to change the hose while I'm at it. Do you have any specifics for what kind of hose I should get? I've got my fingers crossed that the hose is widely available.

I got the thickest walled reinforced hose I could get at the local Napa.
