They wade through the water slowly. She's sure to be slow in putting down her hoof, the slippery grass grabs at her legs and one wrong move would pull them both under. Up close against Star Fyres warm body, he being her only hope, and she being his, she felt closer to him than she had in a long time. As water slipped passed them in their gradual progression, she threw him a side long glance and smiled, just thankful to be with him no matter what the circumstance. Not far off she saw a slight incline, her heart thudded wildly, knowing that it'd be difficult not to slide back down. He lets out small grunts of effort and and clenches his jaw tight, knowing he couldn't give up, for Expresso's sake. The grass is smooth and slippery beneath his hooves. He stumbles, catches his balance and plunges forward. Her lungs are hungry for oxygen that she can't swallow fast enough, but she notices a gradual drop in the water level as they progress up the hill. Her ankles feel relieved, however shaky they may still be, when the incline decreases. She offers Star an encouraging smile, and in a soft, out of breath voice claims,"we did it Star". Still fighting a current, even if it was much lighter, they take their time getting back to the group.
