She tried to turn to watch what Ally was doing, but her head was kept in place by the cross ties. She shook her head in frustration, then watched out of the corner of her eyes. The saddle felt unfamiliar, maybe she just wasn't used to it, she reasoned. When Ally held the bit under her mouth, she obediently took it up, wanting to get out soon.
