 I'm curious how many commenters here subscribe to Mr. Dwyer's "foul play" theory.

He seemed to believe his pilot was shot to death mid flight. Possibly by a mentally-disturbed Holly? It's what he and his wife hinted at for decades.

I know there's been lots of theories, but I thought the gunshot hypothesis had been disproved years ago, after we learned a farmer found Buddy's gun at the crash site and fired a test shot.

Mr. Peterson was tangled up horribly in the wreckage. Surely it's possible what the pastor thought was a gunshot wound was really caused by the crash itself.
