I do not like the rotation of characters when there is no real good point for it. For instance, there was no real explanation about why Lauren Davis left (that I recall anyhow). Especially with a show like this--the setting being a school--there really needs to be explanations of dissappearing teachers. In reality if a teacher leaves, at least the faculty know about why.

I am not from Boston so I have no idea about the racial mixture there, but I am interested in finding out what the percentage of black teachers is. I am in favor of bringing in new actors (especially since most of them are teachers and students--the most fluid element of a school) but there have been at least 4 new teachers since the show started, (Danny, the ex-lawyer, the two young guys who both have a crush on the ex-lawyer, the new "young girl" and NONE have been black? I thought there was a sizable population of mixxed racial content in Boston?

As well, I thought the show was supposed to be a microcosm of all public high schools--not just the one(s) in Boston. As such, there should be an even balance--no hispanic teachers? no asian teachers? Seems strange to me, especially since I have worked with and seen all in public school settings myself.
