I must admit that I read your reply and my blood began to boil. Your ignorance about what teachers truly do is so obvious that I feel sorry for you. Your attitude is one that we fight against every day in this country. Teachers have, next to parents, the most important job in this world! If we do not work hard to educate our youth, they cannot grow up to be lawyers, financiers, doctors, etc..
I truly wish that you would find a teacher who is willing to let you shadow him/her for a few days, 24/7. Only then will you see what a teacher's life is truly like!
Note that I am not refuting you point by point because I do not feel that you will listen. You do have, however, an invitation into my classroom and my life as a teacher anytime you desire.
