] Date Posted: 11:56:01 12/02/02 Mon Song of the Week December 2nd HAPPY TO GIVE S. Perry and J. Cain Raised on Radio  "Perry cut this number three times. 'He was obsessed by that song,' remembered Cain 'it was his pet song.' Cain also thinks Perry gave the song his finest vocal performance. The track came from a 'soundstrack-type' composition Cain had been working on under the influence of Vangelis that Perry nailed with a melody almost immediately on Cain playing it for him. 'Of course, it was our lives we were writing about.' said Cain. Date Posted: 17:00:24 12/04/02 Wed It's difficult for me to hear this song because you can almost hear the pain in Steve's voice while he was singing it. No wonder he cut it three times! It's a hauntingly beautful song---Steve's vocal's are simply wonderful. Great song and great choice you guys! |

Date Posted: 19:30:35 12/05/02 Thu I have to admit I'm crazy about this song and think that there are others that are better on Raised on Radio. Okay don't pelt tomatoes at me. Ducking here... His voice is great on this song but it does nothing to me musically. It does have very beautiful lyrics and Steve's voice is vocally the best but for me it is a okay song. I like it a little but just not a lot. I don't listen to that one alot.  |
