Character Registration/Application:

Name : Yasmin (pronounced hass – mean)
Gender : Female

Apparent Age : 17
Actual Age : 17
Birthday : April 13th

Species : One might easily mistake her for human, but both her mother and father’s lines had enough magic in them to give her the power for simple spells and, of course, her markings.
Lineage :
- Paternal : Father was Riaz Qismat, he owned a “tea shop” in Lahore, Pakistan. His “tea shop” was really a cover for his part in a drug ring, he was horrible cocaine addict among other things. His father been before him in the business, and his mother had been the daughter of a farmer who was sold to her husband for a considerably low bride-price. Little had they known she had been a full-fledged witch, and much of the men’s suffering was due to a secret revenge on the abuse they served her.
- Maternal : Mother was Inas Nawal, a not-so-common whore who was purchased with drug money. She herself a cocaine addict with a strong second addiction of crystal meth had a catar-shifter background at least five generations back. She used this in dance, seduction, and as an excuse for her massive mood swings. She died in childbirth. Nothing is known on her parents.

Eye Color : Hazel
Hair Color : Brown
Ethnicity : Little is known about her mother other than she was a whore and died in childbirth, her father was Pakistani (in theory) but not exactly human…

Known Defects/Scars/Ect : She has one big scar on the inside of her right leg from when she got in a fight with a piece of furniture and lost. She also has some small unnoticeable ones on her fingers from either addicted sewing, or more furniture fights.
Physical Description: She stands 5’4” on two feet that were both a size six in women’s shoes, placed comfortably in a canvas black shoe with rubber soul. Her dancer’s body is tan, not like that of someone who stays outside a lot but like someone who has generations of desert-dwelling ancestors. Her wet-straw hair was tossed around her head as if windblown, but really was simply a product of neglect. In fact, her whole appearance was obviously one that was not going to win any awards. She wore dirty khaki linen pants, a basic black tank-top, and a very simple, black leather “collar” that was no more than a band with a lock around her neck. She didn’t need to dress up in any way, for down her arms were beautifully dark brown tiger stripes, natural but looking much like henna designs. She wore them with a grace, making her arms the center of attention in everything she did. She had a way of drawing your attention to them, and never letting it go – the reason she had been so good at dance.

Mentality : Nothing can phase this child. Physical pain has been a part of her life for too long for it to bear any real consequence (although she is quick to cry over it). She has had a comfortable life at Serena’s, because Serena has always been amused by Yasmin's ability to laugh over anything at all. Yasmin believes that this is the best life for her, and doesn’t plan to let that get her down. However, she’s got a lot of common sense in there somewhere, because she’s good at figuring out the way to advance to the next level. She’s been at trainer level for almost two years, as well as a valued enough seamstress to warrant full use of any materials she wants. Her greatest downfall is that she fears anything unknown. In fact, she’s a very uncourageous wimp about it all.

Training : She began training as a seamstress at the age of 8, but how showed the quality for a dancer long before that. She was quickly given lessons and excelled beyond her classmates to the point of private lessons within a year. She began performing at the age of 10, and continued to rise even to win awards. She, however, still considers that her real talent lies in clothes making. Being a practical person as such, she taught herself to cook, clean, and the like making herself useful and never bored. She doesn’t believe in any sort of art of “entertaining” but has been trained to serve at parties and in the bedroom.
Talents : Optimism, dance, sewing, and attracting people.
Job(s)/Position(s) : The highest position she held was a Dancer trainer, but she was more than just that. She is a seamstress extraordinaire, who is not afraid to get her hands dirty and more than willing to help with just about anything. Serena loved to use the girl as parties – as a dancer and server of food. The girl’s quick wit and smile were always a hit with guest. So much so, in fact, Serena would get requests to rent the girl for a night – something Serena had no problem doing. Yasmin actually enjoyed those nights more than she’d ever let anyone know.

Former Owners : Sold as a toddler for impure cocaine she was slowly tossed from drug lords to vampires, and it wasn’t until she was 8 that she landed in a stable household. It was a household belonging to one of Serena’s fledglings, and within six months Serena had convinced the lesser vampire to gift the girl to her. Yasmin has been with Serena since.

History/Past:

To Be Sold To : Dorjan

Introduction/Sale : The day was supposed to have been the final day of having Aimi under her wing. Day three since Aimi’s coming to the mansion. Yasmin kept a secret hope alive that it would be decided for Aimi to become a dancer so she would see the girl again, otherwise it might just be another friend quickly made and even more quickly lost.

But upon waking to the setting sun, Yasmin was not dense enough to realize something was wrong. There was a silence that was not usually felt at this hour. A silence that persisted on hanging off Yasmin’s stiff morning body like a coat of chain-mail. As Yasmin went down the two levels to were she would pick up Aimi from the common bunks, there were silence from the cages, silence from the training rooms, and most uncommonly – silence in the bunk rooms. Luckily, that also lifted the mystery of it all.

They were crying. The bunk rooms were filled with huddled slaves, ninety percent of whom were crying. “She’s dead.” Someone said softly to Yasmin. The girl’s mind first raced to Aimi – but no one would cry over her. “No.” Yasmin suddenly gasped. “Yes.” A male’s shaky voice confirmed.

Yasmin sat down on the floor. How could Serena possibly be dead? Her mind wasn’t nearly large enough to wrap around just an idea. She had so many questions. How? Why? Who? All tagged with multiple phrases behind them. This wasn’t possible. She had to still be asleep. There was a safety that was gone. And even the false sense of security that was filling it’s place soon fled when Flyta entered the doorframe. “Yasmin, Aimi – Mariam, our new Master, has called for you two – “

Flyta had a group behind her, slaves Yasmin recognized as some of the best in Serena’s care. Not necessarily the very best in their fields, but incredible people – all of them. And now, she was going to join that rank of mismatched slaves headed towards a destiny none of them wanted. A black door of the unknown.

Sorry it took so long on this one, it decided it was going to hide from me down here. ^.^;

It looks like the ballroom is going to finally get some use (hopefully), and that's a great thing! Just watch your grammar a little; mistakes are so easy when you're writing something long. I'd also like to say that the markings on her arms are really interesting, and it'd be soemething that Jan'd look into seeing if they'd pull through in offspring too probably.
