The Wild horses are doing great! They are all tagged and all of the mares are in-foal for next spring. We put them back into the wild this morning, they were soo happy! But, they did whinny a good-bye to us, I don't think they'll ever forget us!

Please adopt from our horse shetler! These horses have been hurt or abused and need a loving, caring home! Here is this week's shelter horse:

History: Stayed too long at a sale horse barn, was going to go to the slaughter house.

He has been here for 4 months and we are starting to worry about ever rehoming him. Please help us out! There are also several other horses that defiantly need homes!

There is a horse camp going on! Today is the last day though, so go and watch their horse show! (Sunday, September 22, 2002)

This is the modern version of the old Burgundian havey horse, which is known to have existed at least as far back as the Middle Ages.

HORSE HEALTH:
Enucleation refer to surgical removal of the eyeball, conjunctiva, and third eyelid. The remaning orbital contents undergo severe atrophy and contraction such that pittin gof the skin covering the orbit (eye socket) occurs post-enucleation. This procedure might be recommended to remove a painful, blind, diseased eye, and can be necessary for severe diseases of the globe, adnexa, conjunctiva, and nictitans.
