Subject: Cushings from Flovent

I have Cushings Syndrome from being on Flovent medicine for too long, since 1999. I've been having a hundred symptoms for years and no diagnosis---been hospitalized, had dozens and dozens of tests done and been to one doctor after another. At first I was bi-polar, then I was eating too much or exercising too little and that's why I gained all this weight. One mislabel after another. Finally, two weeks ago, a breakthrough at my doctor's office. The steroids induced Cushings, a hormonal disorder either caused by a benign tumor or long-term steroid use. High blood pressure, mood swings, low cortisol, low potassium, rapid weight gain, swelling are just some of the symptoms and I have all of them. It took this long for a doctor to admit the Flovent was causing my problems. I have to stay on a low-salt diet and slowly reduce the steroid dosage. I'm using the steroids only once every 3 days now; right now standing on my feet is incredibly painful due to the swelling, and I'm on my feet all day at my retail job as I can't find anything else. I can barely tolerate the pain in my feet and ankles and walking when I get up is quite difficult.
I've contacted lawyers to sue the pharma company but the lawyer said I didn't have much of a case. He said I should have known Flovent can cause Cushings before I started taking it as the insert in the inhaler package says so.
