Tiny pale lids lift slowly, revealing stunningly blue eyes. Blue than the sky, lighter than the navy ocean. His tail gives a feeble and misguided wag. His thin body crawled forward an inch, then another, and he gave a miniscule sneeze. He felt an impenitrable cold, and the collar scratched into his neck, rubbing him raw. He gave a strangled yelp and struggled weakly to get away from the collar. His helpless eyes searched for his mother as his stomach protested loudly it's lack of nourishment. Curling into a tiny, boney little ball of white, he tries to coax sleep and get some form of energy.

Soon a warmth surrounds him, and he peers at his mother, feeling a sudden affection for her. Snuggling into her side, he discovers the food that she bore. With minute gums he tugs and suckles, drawing all the nourishing liquid he could from his mother's teat.
