() Amber eyes roamed. Ears perked. Blood removed from tainted lips. The mother watched in wonder as the one pup struggled away from the rest. Under the careful eye of this parent, this inquisitive pup would be safe. Eyes watched as a miracle was blessed to the pup and for the first time those striking eyes took in their surroundings. She brought herself to a stand on lean pillars and took a timid step towards the pup. It was one thing to love someone that cared for you since you were born, but there was a nervous feeling in the pit of her stomach as she braced for the worst. Was if the pup didn�t like her? She was being childish and immature, but what if? With a soft tender whine, she lowered herself to the ground again, snout laid flat upon the earth. Her eyes remained locked on the pups, wondering what thoughts were roaming the young ones head about her home and her mother. The other pups lay sleeping, unaware that they had lost one of their numbers, and the mother lay waiting. ()
