Ebony canine prowls the edge of the domain. He cared not for the pain he had suffered upon entry. He had seen and experianced too much pain to be bothered by it any longer. Bright oculars wander the shadows, ever watchful for a suprise from beyond. Baring his teeth a little to disued any fights, he steps forth from the shadows, ready to tempt fate once again. Picking up his pace, his paws making no sound on the eath beneath him. Halting his motion in a semi-open clearing, he stands, every muscle tense, ready for anything that may come to him. He wished to stay here. Twisting his snarl into a satisfied smirk, he sat, aware of the disrespect and proud of it. He had no reason to respect this King His respect must be earned, and hard was it to earn, most would perish before achieving it. Ears pricked, listening for any movement in his area, tail limp on the floor, he had no need of submissive gestures, that was not his way. He would not openly challenge authority, but that did not mean he had to submit to it.
...Uraeus, the sacred cobra...
