“Room 13:How to Kill a Terrorist” is a video featurette intended for potential home video release and/ or possible festival submission. The immediate and most important use of the project is to provide our Los Angeles partners, Westbridge Entertainment with useable material to show Los Angeles producers, distributors, and investors. There will be a (very) small stipend for major roles in this production, (an average of about $20) with a slightly smaller amount for those chosen for supporting cast.
*You will not receive gourmet meals, lodging, big paychecks, or instant fame! THIS IS A PROJECT FUNDED TOTALLY BY THE FILMMAKERS, which means LOW BUDGET!
*This is not a SAG production
*Crew members are needed. If you have technical skills, please e-mail with details.
*Lunch and/or snacks will be provided on the set ONLY!
If these terms are not acceptable, do NOT ATTEND and do not submit inquiries!
For those still interested, Participation in this project will assist your career in many important ways. Not the least of which is increased visibility and the opportunity to appear in future full-length features produced by William Lee’s Cinema Lexzikon and Westbridge Entertainment. In other words, if you are willing to forego a big paycheck for the time being, this could be your ticket to bigger and better things. THIS IS THE WORLD OF INDEPENDENT FILMMAKING. Come to terms with the realities of this situation. DO NOT MAKE silly requests or have heightened expectations.

Breakdowns for available roles are outlined below. Please e-mail for sides, so that you may be prepared for the audition. In addition, please bring résumés, tapes, and headshots along with all applicable contact information. If this is your first time auditioning for us, please also prepare a separate audition piece, which should comprise a monologue or short character interpretation, no longer than 2 minutes. Synopsis:
After the passage of the advanced Patriot Act, a one-man judge, jury and executioner detains, interrogates—and disposes of people labeled as terrorists. Who will be his judge jury..and executioner?
BREAKDOWNS
Please review the following cast list. Those roles already cast are denoted by asterisk and actor’s name next to the role. Please e-mail William Lee for sides of the role you are auditioning for.
Cast:
*Kamiglia- Brian Campbell
Annaka-Russian agent. Early 30’s. Very sensual and sadistic. Character must be bold and athletic. No nudity required, but will engage in steamy love scene with strip down to undies and simulated love making with Kamiglia.
*Monroe-Harlow Keith
Gedderly-Male or female member of the government oversight committee. Very animated, big supporter of the government’s patriot act. Always supports Kamiglia even when he brutalizes innocent people.
Mackelroy-A more reserved member of the committee. Tries to bring reason to insanity. Male, 30’s. Well dressed.
Howard-Older male, catholic priest. He gets punished for his sins.
Jakobi (Howard’s lawyer)-He or she gets punished for defending a sinner. Smart-ass Johnny Cochran/Gloria Allred type. 30ish. Business-like demeanor.
Atley Terikon-Late 20’s, white power advocate. One of three men who drag a black man to his death in Texas. Kamiglia reads him the riot act and metes out justice on him. No dialog. All flashbacks.
Senator Gregory- Male or female mid/late 30’s. Tries to stop Kamiglia’s reign of terror. Succeeds in getting “the axe”…literally.
Foreign Terrorist-Stereotypical terrorist type. Male or female. Late 20ish/early 30’s. Should have some type of accent, for character depth.
Diablo- Stereotypical black youth. Gangsta thug. Early 20’s.
Reporter-Male reporter
Reporter 2-Female reporter
Reporter 3-Male reporter
Reporter 4-female reporter
Reverend Talmadge-Older male, late 30’s, any ethnicity, who goes up against Kamiglia’s brutal methods. Gets hurt big time by an unforgiving Kamiglia.
The following roles do not have dialog or sides, we are simply looking for a “look”. If you decide to audition for these roles, you will be required to attend and present the short monologue or character piece mentioned above.
Passers by-Just miss the murder in the senate garage.
Mad Americans-Beat up a terrorist.
Convenience store victims-Shot down in a store robbery
Government agents-Guys and girls with black suits, guns, and sunglasses.
Dead mamma-Corpse in a body bag.
