Languid slate blue eyes gaze upon me
Pulsating emotions create a whirlpool in my mind
I feel you all around me and in everything I see
The love and affection we share is poetic and so refined

Absence from you makes my beating heart ache
We said our goodbyes with a warm loving kiss
Two whole weeks apart is almost too much to take
Your smile, your voice, your touch, these I truly miss

I close my eyes but sleep is elusive
Dreams are broken and scattered through the night
When tiredness takes over there is nothing more I can give
Dawn finally comes and it's your love that brings me light

The days are long and the nights are eternal
Thoughts of you dominate my consciousness
Being with you is heaven, without you there is only hell
A sound or a scent and you once again invade my senses

I remember back to a warm late summers day
Walking through the park when my eyes first saw you
