A "FOOL ON A HILL" SMILES

How dare you
Think your better than me
With that snide look
Upon your face that I see.
And what about
The ones I don't?
My imagination abounds
But stooping to your level, I won't.

You withhold information
I should know
Then put me down
Just for bigoted show.
To make yourself popular
By losing ethics in morals
Of this story, shaping up
While gathering your sheep's choral.
Offering me help with grandstand offers
Until of this, I attempt to take you up
Enabling you to shoot me down,
Once more, to resemble a hungry pup.

So never again will I ask,
To borrow your shroud
Or to have a drink from your poison cup.
Giving you fuel to wonder why aloud
Why I do not get many things done
Because you won't let yourself see
Your use me to fool yourself into a bad pun.
So please, go ahead, laugh at me
Elevating yourself
To gain glittering shallow prizes
As I work hard and long without reward
For despite all this
My spirit continues to rise .. and surmise

Not written for a person, just parts
in ones of many, esp. of the workplace.
However I'm sure, too many can empathize...*grin*
